You shake the marker for a few seconds, push it down to your grip tape, and wait for the paint to saturate the felt tip. You draw large crossed lines to form an A and do a quick circle around it. After a few seconds the paint is dry. You hop on your board and ride through the Hobby Lobby parking lot towards Burger King to spend the rest of the twenty dollars your dad gave you.

I always seem to come across some interesting graffiti around my neighborhood. The next day it was removed.
I thought I had a two year art hiatus (‘08-‘10) because I wasn’t inspired, but I’m realizing it was because I was looking for inspiration in Omaha. Now back in Omaha I’m drawing inspiration from outside of Omaha & going strong; the problem in those two years? Omaha didn’t intrigue me as much as I hoped. It still isn’t.
We are up and running! xoxoxoxo
‘HERS COASTAL' - 24”x38” - watercolor, sharpie, markers, & acrylic
a new illustration I did inspired by the Omaha band Hers, (formally Honeybee & Hers), they are a talented group of friends who make great music & art (of other mediums)!

Felt inspired by a couple friends today, who are talented musicians & are passionate about community. One of their new projects is CLUB NO QUIET:
"Club No Quiet is a not-for-profit record label that seeks to combat sexism in the music community, and in society at large, through promotion, education, & mentorship." - taken from CNQ’s website.
also you should check out their band, Hers -
you can listen to a preview of their new album here.
